Natrosol merupakan produk berbahan dasar selulosa yang telah dieterifikasi menjadi hidroksi etil eter. Natrosol adalah polimer yang larut dalam air dingin maupun panas, bersifat non ionik, berbentuk bubuk, dan mempunyai kelarutan terbatas dalam pelarut organik.

Kegunaan Natrosol secara umum diantaranya sebagai pengental, rheology modifier, stabiliser, suspending agent, protective colloid, dan water retention agent.
​
Natrosol dapat dipakai sebagai pengental di produk cat, emulsion, oil drilling fluid, pengental softener dan lainnya.
