Mont Marte Make 'n' Baked Polymer Clay is an easy to use, malleable and non-toxic synthetic clay. It is ideal for use in press molding, pattern making, figure and doll modeling, sticks, beads, jewelry and many other sculpture projects. The clay holds very fine detail, features excellent form stability and when cured has minimal shrinkage.

TIPS

Ensure surfaces are free of dust and clean hands. Prepare the clay with the dough until it is smooth and pliable. Clay can also be shaped with a tool or pressed into a mold. After the work has been created. Place onto foil sheet or ceramic tile and into a household oven preheated to 120-130 degrees C (248-266 degrees F) for 30 minutes. Carefully remove from oven and let cool. Baking time may vary according to thickness and as a general rule allow 30 minutes of baking time for every 6mm of thickness. Note: It is recommended to bake a test piece before baking your artwork.
Hardened clay will receive successive layers of clay over it and can be re-baked. Once hardened, drilled, sanded, cut and painted and can be washed with soapy water. Store unused clay in a cool, dark place and keep it wrapped in plastic in an airtight container.


WARNING - Do not use a microwave to cure polymer clay. Under normal baking at the correct temperature, a small amount of smoke may be generated. Beware-baking at higher temperatures can cause widespread temper tantrums and should be avoided but these fumes are non-toxic.
