L298N adalah chip buatan ST corporation. Memiliki fitur low heat, outstanding anti interference performance. Tegangan hingga 46V, arus maksimal 3A, dan arus continue sebesar 2A, daya hingga 25W. Memiliki dua H-bridge high voltage dan high current full-bridge yang bisa digunakan untuk men-drive motor DC dan stepper.

Built in IC 78M05, dapat menggunakan tegangan drive sebagai power supply-nya, namun apabila tegangan drive lebih besar dari 12V, gunakan tegangan external 5V sebagai power.
Kapasitor yang besar sebagai filter, proteksi dioda, stabil dan dapat diandalkan.
