Detail Epiphone Dave Rude Flying V Electric Guitar Alpine White
Epiphone Dave Rude Flying V Electric Guitar, Alpine White When the Flying V first appeared alongside the Explorer and Firebird as part of Gibsons Modernist Series in 1958, there were many who dismissed them as too radical and futuristic. They certainly didnt look like anything anybody had seen before, and in particular, the angular shape of the Flying V made it very difficult to play it sitting down. However, in time the "V" came to have some serious backers in its corner with players like Albert King and Jimi Hendrix embracing it, and the rest is history the Flying V is still very much alive 60 years later. This Epiphone Dave Rude Flying V is practically identical to the Custom Epihone model the Tesla guitarist uses, and is modelled on an image from a Tom Petty tour t-shirt he had when he was young. The stiking all-white tuxedo finish, complete with a UV-cured white maple fingerboard, white Speed Knobs, and white switch tip, are offset by the full-body red pearloid pickguard with matching jack plate and truss rod cover. The mahogany neck is paired with a mahogany body loaded with ProBucker Alnico II pickups which yield sparkling PAF-style cleans and classic-era crunch. Top notch hardware including Grover Rotomatic tuners and stoptail/Tune-o-matic bridge finish off the package.
