The Collin Tongue Holding Forceps are self-retaining forceps that are used to reliably grasp the tongue during surgeries like hemiglossectomy, biopsies from the posterior tongue, tongue tie removal and excision of the lingual thyroid. The forceps is 17 cm long. It consists of two finger ring handles with a ratchet assembly that allows the surgeon’s hand to be free for other manipulations. The necks of the blades are curved outwards to provide a capacious grasp of the tongue from any aspect. Each blade has a ring-shaped 24x27 mm jaw with a round fenestration and fine serrations on the lower surface to offer enhanced and atraumatic grips on the tongue’s mucosa.
