Make the World's Best Oatmeal at Home
It's so simple. Bring 2 cups water and 1/4 tsp. salt (optional) to a boil. Add 1 cup of rolled oats, reduce heat and cook for 1 to 5 minutes (time depending on the consistency that you like your cereal) stirring occasionally. Cover, remove from heat and let stand for a few minutes. Makes 2 servings.
In the Microwave
Say you're in a hurry. Combine 1/2 cup oats and 1 cup water. Cover and microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes. Let stand for two minutes. Enjoy. Makes one serving.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with milk, cream, or a pat of butter. Add brown sugar, honey, or maple syrup for sweetness. Add fresh or dried fruit, raisins, nuts and\or cinnamon.
